Our Projects

HCC believes that our community has the capacity and the knowledge to address its own needs. Our projects are based upon what local people see as the issues and how they think those issues should be addressed. We contribute research about what people in other communities have tried, our experience and knowledge of cooperatives and community development, as well as that of other cooperators.

Cooperative Care for Elders

HCC is currently exploring the potential for cooperative eldercare in our area. In addition to considering the feasibility of approaches used elsewhere, we are talking with local elders, families, caregivers, workers, and agencies to determine what people feel the most pressing needs are and how cooperatives might contribute to helping provide them. Cooperative Agriculture

Our area already has a strong tradition of independent agriculture and a thriving local food movement. Cooperatives can help contribute to sustainable food systems that support local farmers. Learn more about our Cooperative Agriculture project…

Conversion
